A second wave?
The coronavirus pandemic has swept around the world and is wreaking havoc. Having got the initial outbreak under control Hong Kong is now dealing with a wave of imported cases. What this means for us is that we have new challenges to meet. Many of our students are resident outside Hong Kong and need to be brought back and possibly quarantined. Some staff members are stuck overseas and now when they return they face mandatory quarantine of 14 days. So far we have had no cases in the Faculty but there have been cases in the wider university community. We are still planning to resume face-to-face teaching in April, but this may have to be abandoned if the number of cases continues to rise.
