Trekking back to Hong Kong
With the latest cancellation of my ticket back to Hong Kong and the need to be in Hong Kong in early May to present the response to the Faculty review to Senate, I decided that some alternative action was needed. Hong Kong requires UK travellers to spend 3 weeks away from the UK before entering Hong Kong. This obviously has to be in a country that allows entrants from non-resident UK passport holders and from which you can enter Hong Kong. Luckily Kenya fits the bill, so I flew to Nairobi on Friday and am working from the Fairview Hotel. Trying too keep as isolated as possible to minimise any risks. Also luckily there have been no further cases of covid-19 in the Faculty and yesterday the contacts were all released from quarantine camp. So hopefully that is behind us.
